Liam R. Marchant

Liam calls on several facets of musical influence to share his own stories and the stories of lives that have touched him.

He actively writes for combos, woodwind chamber ensembles, orchestra, wind ensemble, and rock and pop groups. As founder of the band, Pumice Pocket, he continues to push the boundaries of instrumental funk, rock, and jazz fusion. Pulling from chamber music, Eʋe bell patterns, and early classical saxophone repertoire.

He has directed musical theater, written for film, produced 3 albums, and premiered works at The Common Tone Music Fest and North American Saxophone Alliance. As a teacher, he aims to always prepare a musician for their creative future. Whether music is a hobby or a potential career path, Liam finds resources and writes tailored exercises for all his students.

Liam plays piano, saxophone, bass, clarinet, and flute.
